Our History

I'm a 25 year old living in the South Canterbury region of New Zealand with my parents, five sisters (23, 21, 19, 16, and 14) and a brother (12), five dogs (13, 12, 11, 8, and 6), and a rescued cat.

We moved to Australia in 2007 and hit the road in early 2008 in a caravan. We sold it and brought a bus in February 2009. In March 2013 we sold the bus and brought a Hiace Commuter so I could get my driver's license. After six months in a tent, we brought another bus.

We (my sisters and me) started training our dogs tricks in March 2010 and moved on to performing at shows and festivals as we travelled. Highlights of my career include performing at the Mt Isa Show and the RSPCA Million Paws Walk. Unfortunately, the Superdogs disbanded, after a year on hiatus and then being unable to find any shows to pick us up afterward.

Team Superdogs, on our last tour in March 2014

By late 2014, we could no longer afford to continue travelling, especially without the income from the Superdog shows, so we spent the next three years working on dairy farms in southwest Victoria, before our move to a dairy farm in northern Victoria. In May 2019, we were unfairly fired from our job and kicked out of our house, leaving us effectively homeless once again.

In July 2020, with the COVID-19 crisis in full effect and still unable to find either a job or a house, we were forced to move back to New Zealand. Thankfully we have landed a house over here and both my dad and I were able to find work.
